PUBLIC SPEAKING COACHING

The fear of public speaking doesn't only happen on stage. Even in small groups, women leaders of color can be paralyzed, afraid that their ideas will seem too big, too small, or otherwise off-target.

Expertly crafting and delivering a speech is one of the most powerful tools in a leadership strategy. A finely crafted, well-delivered message is the best way to convey your mission and vision. Whether speaking to the Board, the media, elected officials, donors, or on the TEDx stage, your posture, voice, intonation, and diction are as important as your words.

Unfortunately, fear is the greatest obstacle to delivering a great speech. The good news is—that fear can be overcome. In the first session, Joia helps her clients build a tool kit to overcome their greatest enemies: fear and self-sabotage.

During the following seven sessions, clients select their talking points and weave the talking points into a narrative: perfect diction, elocution, breathing, and delivery. The public speaking sessions also refine body language, even for Zoom meetings. Clients learn these skills for presentations, keynote addresses, panel discussions, print and broadcast interviews.
